2004 Yukon starting issue

Turn key and it starts clicking and dash lights blink before starter engages

Your wording makes me assume that the dash lights blink and then the starter engages... is this what is happening?

If the dash lights flicker and nothing happens:
Battery (or terminals or wiring to starter)
Ground issue

A few other possibilities but I doubt it's anything like a seized motor.
