2005 Tahoe Console Swap Build

Ok so a few months ago I picked up a 05 Console to swap into my 98 2dr. Finally Got around to start the swap and get it installed. Took a few build pics although not as many as i wanted to but here is the start of the work

Took many of your ideas and put some of my own in there. This is my first build thread not enough pictures and nothing is in order.

Took the console apart. took the top piece with the outlets and 2 storage bins and molded a radio bracket into and fiberglass and bondo the top for switches.

took the entire lower dash apart and hacked out a good chunk so it slid as far forward as possible (missing that pic.)

also hacked off the tabs on stock mounting base to use base to screw to floor. Also missing that pic

cut the knee brace so it would sit flush against the new console.

Then took epoxy putty to shape a new piece. Currently working on that and Double Din Kit from the forum here.

Slid everything up and used 2 screws to hold in place. One to the dash and one to the floor

Cut the 3 wires that feed the stock lighter outlets and wired into the 3 that come with 05 console. Just cut wires out of harness for console and soldered

Sub is installed but not hooked up.

The bondo part is painted with the SEM texture coating 39853 and then went over with duplicolor black interior paint.

Switches will be for front and rear lockers and not sure the other 2 yet.

Need to find all of the pictures and figure out how to do it in order. it got dark so i didnt finish taking pics

also taking my piaa fog light switch and cut into the little 3 piece vertical plate and molding in to mount there. not an easy one

Thanks. Yea the interior is the biggest headache of my life. Nothing ever simple and running out of room to run wires. Changing my mind every 5 minutes doesnt help

I havent yet. Started too Didnt Finish. My whole interior is black, Black Carpet, black everything and Limo tinted windows. Its so dark you cant even notice
