Pretty sure you need same diff ratio in both front and rear. You could pull drive shaft to front if four-wheel drive, but AWD won't work.

You ABSOLUTELY must match drive ratios in front and back or you will eat your transfer case. Also, a 2500HD front differential is unlikely to match with your 1500 transfer case. Keep in mind the 2500HD is going to be an 8 bolt axle and the Denali is going to be 6 bolt; the drive shafts are different between the two. I know because I have 2, 2500 8 bolt vehicles and 1 6 bolt vehicle (the 2003 Sierra Denali with AWD). And we got an incorrect -- 3.73 ratio -- front differential from Summit, and the rear was 4.10 (we ordered 5he correct ratio, they showed 5hey shipped the correct ratio, but 5hen we ACTUALLY received 5he 3.73 ☹️)

When last I investigated, you could get a reman unit straight from GM. But that may have changed. I haven't looked at Summit in a while, but you might call them. Their phone people seem to be top notch.

Front and rear ratios have to match on AWD and 4wd vehicles. Otherwise the front and rearend are trying to turn at different speeds. Doing this on a AWD will destroy your Tcase. Do it on a 4wd and you will atleast destroy a pair of tires if not grenade the Tcase since it is magnesium and the weakest link between itself and all the hardened steel parts between your hubs and driveshaft coming off the Tcase. There are tons of places to call for differential parts online. Sierra Gear is my usual go to.
