Im a new owner of a 2006 Denali it has the stock Bose with Nav and XM, with the 6 cd changer down below. I would like to know my options, i currently subscribe to XM so i want to keep that, dont use the nav or the cd changer. I would like to use my ipad air 2 to stream music via blue tooth. Is it better to change out the Hu or just add a blue tooth streamable hu where the changer is. I would like to maintain my steering wheel controls as well. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Change out the HU. You'll need to buy the data bus adapter and steering wheel control adapter but there are infinitely better units out there to replace your oem after that. I installed an all in one and removed the cd changer to replace it with a pocket to store more stuff. The pioneer i have is capable of Sirius and XM as well as having bluetooth, rear usb and even connects to iphones and ipads.

Can you tell me what model Pioneer? That sounds like exactly what I want to replace my OEM 02 Denali HU.

Thanks
