2006 yukon dvd player makes noise on startup

I have 06 Yukon slt with overhead dvd player. After my grandson tried to use it (unsuccessfully :) ) it now makes a whirring noise for about 30 seconds or so. As I am selling soon any help to troubleshoot is appreciated

I know its an older post but im having the same exact issue with my 06 Tahoe Z71 as this guy
