To my understanding and from some of the maintenance manuals,The external fuel filter is no longer located on underside of chassis. It is now an intergral par t of the fuel tank. I,m questioning where in the tank is all the sediment accumulating from the hundreths and hundredths of gallons of fueled that is pumped into the tank during the lifetime of the car and how is this accumulation of sediment removed. Thanks, Cags

I don't understand the lack of an external fuel filter. My 05 doesn't have one either.

The fuel station pumps are supposed to have filters on them but dirt does get in your tank. I've dropped a couple of tanks in various vehicles and never came across one that was clean inside.
