Hello. I am wanting to replace the radio system in my Yukon. It does have the factory DVD overhead as well. Someone I talked to said I would loose the speakers for the dvd player if I went to a aftermarket player. I am just wanting to add something that has Bluetooth for hands free calling and Pandora. Does anyone know if that is the case? Or is there a factory one that I can get installed? I do not want to loose the speakers for the dvd player. Thank you.

IF your OE radio was the source of activating RSE (by hitting the source button) you can use this harness. If activation was somewhere else like the rear controls, then no you can't

Meta GMOS-014 - GM Onstar/ RSE/ and retain the warning chimes module

The GMOS-014 is designed to retain Onstar/ Rear seat entertainment (RSE)/ and retain the warning chimes that are normally lost when the OEM radio is removed. It also provides a 12 volt accessory output for aftermarket radio operation.
The GMOS-014 provides a mute/ parking brake/ vss or speed sense and reverse output to make installing an aftermarket navigation radio simpler and less time consuming.

Hey there,

I've talked about doing this upgrade with my local trusted Car Audio shop who have done many things to my truck with no problems.

You can get a headunit from Kenwood with Navigation, Pandora, Ipod, and Bluetooth installed and your rear DVD player will still work. Think about it, they're designed to accept headrest monitors and what not. The only thing you will lose is your 6-disc changer. I refuse to lose this option because I have OCD and cannot stand the thought of looking at the void space in my center console.

Sorry for the long reply. Hope this helps.

hello

So would I be able to have any brand or does it have to be a certain brand? Sorry went somewhere in town and they want to charge a arm and a leg. My husband is good at working on cars so he will install. Just making sure before I pick a radio system I want. Thank you.
