AKA DOD (Displacement on Demand).

Ah, well, I don't know how well it works, or in my case, IF it even works. Whatever it is I do with it, it always runs 15MPG. road trip to TX, 15mpg, picking up a 3,500lbs trailer in Abq, 15mpg, trip around here, 15mpg.

kind funny though, the DIC "V8/V4 economy" goes back and forth between 6mpg and 99mpg *lol*.

I bet you haven't reset your AVG MPG in quite some time. It stabilizes over time. You're seeing a long term, if not lifetime average. For example, I had left mine alone for 2 or three tanks and it said 10.4 mpg (E85). But doing the math, that last tank of fuel was 7.5 mpg (towing and idling).

Oh one can actually reset that? now you mention it, when I fill up the tank, the "fuel range" says something like just over 400 miles, I have a 26 gallon tank (I think). To be real honest, I don't pay a who; lot of attention to it, just checked it a few times while driving.

I was just watching a Tahoe video, from kbb, where it's called Multi displacement Technology ... I guess it has all kinds of names (the also called it AFM in the same video).

Ouch

Was about to get everything back together and noticed the #4 intake valve chamber on the head is holding about a cup of coolant.

Ouch

Guess I’ve got crackedhead or popped a head gasket.

Good Morning Ron

The cup of fuel was likely because of the #4 intake lifter being collapsed and the injector spraying but the valve was not opening, so the fuel just kept adding up.

I suppose the collapsed lifter was the intake side and not the exhaust side.

Im not even sure.
Today everything should be back together and running, so we shall see.

All back together up and running just fine.

Used the superchips flashpaq 2845 to disable the AFM and I gotta say the stupidchips programmer is a joke.
Takes nearly 10 mins to make small adjustments.
Zero performance at all.

Sometimes when using the programmer just to make sure the AFM is still disabled the entire thing would upload a new tune and put the AFM in enable mode.

Damn near ran the batteries down in the Tahoe after 40 plus mins of programming.

Key has to be in the run but not start position for programming.

Cant decide if I should send it back and look for another type of programmer.

Superchips flashpaq 2845 seems like complete junk.

The manual kept saying to be sure and plug into your computer to download the newest updates but anytime you plug it into the computer and fill out your name and info all you have is a screen of for things to purchase for your scanner.
