Sometimes it works sometimes it don't. Tested it when I first bought it having my son walk behind the Tahoe. Worked good. Now sometimes I get a warning on the dash computer that it is off. I never turned it off with the button below the NAV unit. Now it is not doing that, but only beeps a couple times as I get close to my other parked car, then stops all together. Is there a recall on this? I read on the internet there was. Or is it just not working right and needs fixed?? I bought this Tahoe two weeks ago, and I still have the Chevy dealer fixing a few little things...free for now, but this will end SOON...:emotions122:

i have that probelm sometimes. Randomly id get park assist off message and when i try to hit the button below the hvac, it wont activate. I found when this happens i need to turn the key off and restart the truck. As far as the not working, Mine dosent beep until your really up close to an object. Like just enough room to walk between the object and the rear bumper

stepjl...you used your son to get behind your vehicle while in reverse?...should we be calling child protective services on you??? haha jk

Is there anything plugged into the trailer wire connection? like one of those light up hitch covers? I know mine goes stupid for about a day after i pull my trailer....you probably already checked this but just a thought.

Son is a 6' 2" Sasquach....... no child there anymore. No, don't have anything plugged into the back. Almost backed into my Nissan the other day. Was 1' away and it beeped one or two times, then did not beep anymore. I have this on my Titan, and it has always worked great...

try wiping the bumper sensors with a rag. Sometimes (especially in the winter months) I find that when they get dirty they don't work right ....

in the last 3 months i have had the same issue with the backup sensor saying diasbled when i turn the car on, and pressing the button won't turn it on. So far it has happened about 3-4 times, and turning the car off and on fixed it, but last time it took several restarts. But when it is active it does work properly.

Mine does this crap too sometimes, but when it does it it says rear park assist off and the rear quarter panel lights is red, then it will stop and act normally and the message will go away while still in reverse, no restart needed.
I think it has something to do with me spilling stuff on the park assist controls every once in a while.

Yea, my button is more difficult than the others. Sometimes it get stuck pressed in. Once it came up with service park assist. Turns out the upper corner of the button got stuck.

Tahoe is clean..... I am going to try and get the Chevy dealer where I bought it to fix for FREE.
I have a list of "things that don't work/work right". I am going to hold them to the statement they said when I bought it..." everything on the Tahoe is working as it should" when delievered. This will be interesting, as it is a used Tahoe that only has powertrain warrenty left. This dealership seems to pride it's self on customer service. Well see.....
