2007 Tahoe Driver's Side Mirror

My mirror stopped tilting up and down. It still works side to side and folds. How do I disassemble it so I can fix it?

It has the heated mirrors.

I got the mirror apart. The back cover just pops off (it did need a little 'persuasion' - but not much). I now have the whole thing apart and am trying to figure out what the part number is for the tilt mechanism. I see 'MDPP0029D 751081 0316 21035 00' on the front of the mechanism - along with a patent number.

There is another ID on the back 'HEUT0038K'.

Will a dealer be able to order the part for me from these? (I want to put the mirror back together so I can drive it.

The dealer will want your VIN #, from that they will be able to tell what mirror you have. You might have an bad switch or DCM.

Does your driver’s side mirror vibrate going down the road?

It’s almost like a wind vibration that is very noticeable at night.

If so there is a TSB regarding this issue, problem solved.

Mine was tilting sporadically and found out about the TSB getting a new one installed next week.
