I noticed this in the tech 2 about a TPMS for the spare tire. Could you enable this feature and put a sensor in the spare tire in a 2005 tahoe? Has anyone done this?

I don't know why not. I've heard it done but don't have any specific proof. I should try it with my '04 -- my Autel will program sensors.

I think it also needs to be 'turned on' (enabled) in the BCM so the TPMS light would come on if it got low.

It could be one if those things that's only there and won't work unless it was already built into the vehicle as an option.. which could well be if it's a requirement of some foreign market to monitor the spare tire. Which in a way isn't a bad idea.

I tried to enable it, every time I use this tech 2 I am bewildered by how hard it is to figure out what it can do.

I found a sub menu that has spare tire Disable, why have a menu item to disable it when it isn't enabled to begin with? Makes no sense to me. So I dunno it's either you can't enable it or it is user error on my part...

I have an 05 Yukon. I might try writing in a sensor number to see if that makes it toss a code or set the light on when nothing reports.
