I have 2 Yukon xl s with over 200 k on them. Wouldn’t hesitate to drive anywhere. 1 is an 02 2500 6.0 and the other is an 06 Denali. My son has a 03 Tahoe with 250k plus and drives it everywhere. Had to replace rear axle and transmission on that one but I don’t think it had the best service history from previous owners.

Anything can go at any moment at any mileage beyond say 100,000.

Just had a motor shit the bed with only 129,000 on a 2002. It was insanely clean too.
All in all yes, you take a risk with a higher mileage engine, and anything with unknown.

So if you've got fresh fluids, fresh plugs, wires, trans cleaned, no ECM codes,
I'd think you'd be fine but of course higher mileage = higher rsks of failures.

With that being said, I always keep a full tool kit in my vehicles.
GM's are a breeze to do most repairs yourself quickly and easily.

I'm no stranger to the LSx/Vortec engines, got a few of them I retro-fitted into my 2 GM Classics

My 08 Suburban has 25x,*** miles on it and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it coast to coast at any given time. Only things I'd pack with me is a spare coil and a few spark plugs (plugs break apart when coil goes bad)

I am at 240,000 on my 07 LTZ (owned since new). I drove it from Tallahassee, FL to Louisville, KY and back a couple of weeks earlier this month. Averaged 80-85mph during the trip. No issues during the trip, but a couple of days later it was on the back of a tow truck because the water pump took a dump. The water pump was put on at about 180K. It was an eazy fix in the driveway and I would not hesitate to put it back on the road. We have vehicles with lower miles, but figure we might as well pile the miles on this one since it already has high miles.
