Guys,
This has been discussed in this forum to much degree but some of the posts are very ambiguous about the problems they're having. Let me tell you mine.
2007 Yukon with power lift gate will not open. I've tried turning the button in the front compartment to manual but the gate will still not open. When I switch it back to automatic/remote function the gate will still not open. When I try to open it with the remote or via the press button on the lift gate I can hear a faint noise of the motor trying to engage. I've made sure the back hatch is closed. So far I've read about struts and getting a new motor. My questions:
Have you had this happen to you?
Where is the motor assembly and can it be accessed if the back lift gate won't open at all?
I've read the manual about the battery having low voltage but is that battery also accessible without opening the liftgate?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated guys.
Michael
