I need some help!! I just purchased a 2007 Yukon XL Denali and the air ride seemed to be working fine until I hooked up my travel trailer. When I hook up my trailer my air compressor comes on and levels out the rig, but after I drive a few miles the shocks loose their pressure and my tires start to rub. The compressor does not come back on unless I shut off the engine and restart. I know I should not be loosing pressure but why isn't the compressor coming back on. I can't seem to find the sensor that controls the rear so I am at a loss. I am going to replace the shocks, but I want to fix this issue before I do. When this happens as I am driving no lights or warning messages come on. Any help would be great as these parts aren't cheap! Thanks

Update

Ok so I have tested both level sensors, and they are good. But I just noticed last weekend while towing my trailer. If I start the Yukon the compressor comes on and starts to level the rear, but if I put the trans in drive the compressor shuts off. If I pull over and put it in park and wait a minute the compressor will turn on. Is this normal? I can't get a straight answer out of any dealer or shop. It seems as though nobody knows anything about this air ride system let alone how it works! Any help would be great!

I would suspect that the leveling system should only work when you start, and turn off when tranny in drive. That part seems fine, but once level, it shouldn't need to come back on. You must have a leak in the system if you are losing level (air).
