I've had the vehicle for the past 2 months (bought used) has 65000 miles. Yesterday I got a "service stabilitrac" message with the traction control off light and the ABS light. Stopped at a gas station to get a drink and then after restarting the vehicle it didn't come back on. I've driven a couple other times since then and no message again. Weather has been great so I haven't gone through any puddles or anything like that. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I have the same year and model Yukon that I bought new with just over 33K on it now. I have had the same thing pop up along with a few other little quirks. Same thing happened as well.....turned off the vehicle and a few later started and everything was gone.

Now part two.....I had been having problems with the battery dying and the dealership had already replaced it twice before I even had 28K on the car. Went in a third time for battery replacement and the tech found a loose terminal on the buss bar....tightened it and no problems since.

Hope that helps some.

I had my Stabilitrac message come on a few times the day I purchased my 07 Yukon with 35k mi. It would be sporadic but then a few other weird things happened also. It turned out being a pinched wire near the fuse panel, hasn't happened since they replaced the wire.

Definitely no way to know why that message is displayed unless you connect a Tech2 or like scan tool that is able to communicate with the EBCM and other modules to detect which system is malfunctioning. Usually the steering wheel position sensor is the most likely reason for this message to display. Code should be stored so the dealer can tell you what code was set (even with the light off) as long as 39 or less ignition cycles have been made.

I am having the same problem with my 2007 chevy suburban, it started yesterday. The message would flash for a while and then go off and the transfer case would switch from auto to 4 wheel drive. I also had 2 engine codes one was P0300 multiple engine misfires P0121 throttle position sensor.

I had the "service stabilitrac", "traction control off" and "rear parking assist disabled" messages randomly on my 07. Turned out to be a bad switch in the tranny & replaced under warranty. You need to go to the dealer when it happens and don't shut off the vehicle because the first time it happened I took it in after the messages were gone and the tech II didn't show any problems. Those systems being disabled are a basic failsafe mode so it could be any number of things.

the "service stabilitrac", "traction control off" and "rear parking assist disabled"

I have an 07' with 70k+ miles and was getting the same indicators at various times. After I Bled the brake system I haven't had any lights or issues. The traction control system and stabilitrac both gets input from the the ABS system. The ABS module monitors pressure from the pedal and wheel sensor feed back. If The Brake fluid is contaminated or if there is air in the module or lines it the module senses pressure difference that can confuse the ABS computer and with the bad data the lights will come on. When you turn the truck off and back on it re-pressurizes the system and the sensors are happy. Oh and if you attempt to bleed the brakes yourself do it with the truck running. The only other way to do it successfully is after manually working the brake pedal and the bleeder screw at each wheel you then have to hook up a scanner that is capable of controlling the ABS module to activate the bleeding routine. I hope this helps you

I have an 07 Yukon with 50,000. I have gotten the same "service stabilitrak" light come one randomly. When it happend I was parked with the car just idleing for approx. 20 minutes. Like everyone else has said, turned the car off and when I came back later the error was gone and have never seen it since.
