Thanks. Wow thats pretty clean looking. How'd you shave your rear bow tue? looks good.

There are two ways to shave the rear bowtie and both require painting at least part of the gate...

1. Swap on a gate from a Yukon
2. Remove bowtie, fill holes with fiberglass (or with plastic), sand down and smooth out, paint it.

**There could be other ways to do this so hopefully someone else might chime in as well** :High 5:

With the rear wiper being shaved as well paint work needed to done anyway.

I bought the piece for the Yukon and swapped them out. I really like the way the rear turned out, I'd like to find a Escalade rear bumper. I think that would finish it off nicely.

They sell that plastic above the license plate as a separate piece? How do you detach it from the gate to put the new one on? I was not aware of that. I thought you had to either buy a whole new gate or fill in those holes in order to smooth that out. I learned something new today :Handshake:

How much was that plastic piece?

Do you have the part # for that by any chance? It looks cleaner with nothing I think... yea man i love the esky/denali bumper.. I talked to my paint guy and if i buy a primed oem gm rear bumper cover (on eBay for about 350) then he'll paint it for 200. so 550 total is kind of a LOT when there is absolutely nothing wrong with my current bumper cover. I just can't justify spending that much on something i already have... if my rear end bumper cover ever gets messed up i'm definitely switching to the esky bumper!

Thanks for the compliments guys. If it wasn't for this forum, I would've never thought about doing this one haha.

The part number for the Yukon piece is 15915677. That is the one with the back up camera holder. I don't know the part number for the one without the camera piece. You will have to remove the big trim piece on the inside of the hatch then there are several bolts that will use a 10mm socket that actually hold the part to the hatch.
