Anyone might have any further advise or help concerning which speaker brands. I do.not particularly want to spend thousands of dollars in the speakers but a couple hundred for the speakers would be fine.

I have 2 JL W3's with an Alpine m500-1 amp. The amp stays ice cold and the subs with the bass knob go anywhere from nearly tearing my truck apart to a nice bump for my country music. Total with 2 subs a box a wiring kit and the amp was around $1000. Ive had them in 2 separate trucks and love them to death. Try crutchfield.com for anything audio and certainly don't buy from any local shops. Also, Id recommend buying the radio and door speakers at the same time, I did not and still haven't, and the quality of the bose speakers decreased due to the bose speakers running at half ohm. As did my family tahoe when we put a new radio in it.

^^^ support a local shop if they do good honest work. The Internet is not a save all.

Most of them around me do great work and ill take my truck to them to do custom work and the wiring and stuff because of this. However, the prices for their speakers and head units cannot compare with crutch field most of the time.
