Ok guys i have a 2008 yukon xl 4x4 with the 5.3 98,000 miles

it has been giving me a little bit of problems lately and then this morning it all went to crap.

the last couple of weeks it has had a vibration when accelerating or just cruising and has steadily gotten worse. this morning on our way to church started it up and got the service stabilitrac, service traction control, and engine power reduced messages. go to church in different car come home take battery cable off and let it reset. wait a couple of hours put it back on no lights or nothing. as soon as i started to move it all came back on. i don't have on star at the time but is it worth it to hook it up for them to give me the diagnostics.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks a lot

jbiggs1102,

Tires, axle, steering? Where is the vibration most prominent? Do these issues occur each time you drive the vehicle, or is it an intermittent problem? You may want to consider taking the vehicle in for an inspection.

Make sure the mass air flow (MAF) sensor harness connector is connected to the mass air flow sensor. It is the line of wires that connect to the air intake tube.
Also, the actual MAF sensorm or throttle body, could be going bad. The throttle bodies are electric so that is a good possibility.
