Just used Robbie's advice on this and took the mouldings off on the drivers side.

Y'all using eraser wheels on this paint are knuckleheads lol

Just saying

I simply cannot believe the amount of silt behind the moldings. Mine is a 2009.

Main reason I did this is because the were starting to "weep".

im about to remove my moldings to. were you able to get all that gunk off clean? im worried about damaging the paint.

I pulled mine clean off. :)

You don't need a eraser wheel IMO

The gunk that is left behind I will pressure wash off first....... that wash with soap. I plan to IRON-X, clay, polish and wax it this weekend.
