!!!WARNING!!! I'm attempting mental math here so wait for a few smarter people to reply before making a decision

I'm seeing the factory 17x7.5 wheels to have an offset of 31mm. The factory 18x8 has the same offset, so we'll go with that one for comparison. The AR172 is 8" wide with 0 offset, so that means it will stick out 31mm (1.25" converted and rounded up) further than than the OEM 18x8 wheel. This equates to about 1.5" further than your 7.5" wheel. Is your Tahoe lifted any? Stock tire size? I ran 1.5" spacers on my factory 20x8.5" (31mm offset) wheels and tires with a 2" front lift and had minor rubbing only at full lock.

Based on these numbers, I'd say they'd fit and barely clear if you were lifted at least 2". If stock height, the amount of rubbing will largely depend on the overall dimensions of your tires. Different brands and types of tires can vary wildly in actual size even if the advertised sizes are the same.

While I am no mathematician either, I agree with iamdub.

Unless you want to increase the scope of your project to include lift hardware or fender modifications, I recommend that you find a wheel that you like with a 31mm offset.

I am looking for something with the basic 8 hole type wheel in black, stock size replacement.Perhaps someone can recommend something similar or better fit? Thanks and happy holidays to all.

There aren't many and I've been looking for years. Many wheels do not have the load rating to even equal our axle ratings either.

I also looked at these but none fit the bill either:

Crager 397s 17x8 Wheel
U.S. Wheel Daytona Series 84 17x8 Wheel
U.S. Wheel Crawler Series 42 17x8 Wheel
Black Rock Series 997 Type 8 17x8 Wheel

Didn't get to the 22s yet.

Funny, their graphics show a 5-lug pattern, even on the pickup in the Media Gallery. But the description says it's a 6-lug.

I don't know how you feel about lifting, but a spacer lift is super easy and cheap. My 2" front lift was billet aluminum spacers from Amazon for around $25-$30 and they took about an hour to install both sides. The rear was 1" Belltech coil spacers that took about an hour.
