I am wanting to hardwire my radar detector to my 2010 Tahoe. I have seen some posts here and there to wire it to the mirror harness and others to wire it to the inside of the upper console. I have tried to get the console down but no such luck - at least without having broken parts everywhere.

I am wanting to wire it to the mirror but am unsure of what two slots to use. I am aware that i will need to buy some sub D connectors and crimp them onto each wire.

If someone could help me out that would be great.

Depends on where you want it installed. I hung mine from the rear-view mirror and used an invisicord to cable it in. I used a Country Joy mount for the mirror. You can make your own cable but I was very lazy that week ... :)

Here you go! I used my "mad graphics skills " to show you where I tapped off to wire my radar detector into my '07. Not sure if it's the same for a '10 (but should be), so I would take a meter or test light to it to make sure.

I tapped off higher into the harness instead of at the plug...That is why you don't see any extra wiring in the picture.

Here is the end result: http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=223434#post223434

I just wired mine using a DIY invisicord - Radio Shack D-sub pins soldered to a phone cord. I used the above mirror plug wiring suggestions (Thanks BTW!) hot = pink, black = gnd.
