2010 Tahoe LT Noob (Bose or not)

I just bought a 2010 Tahoe LT and the "high" speakers next to the windshield say Bose on them, but I don't see Bose on the head unit. The truck does not have NAV or a screen, so it looks pretty basic to me. Is it possible to tell if I have the Bose system or not?

Also, if I swap out the head unit for a Pioneer DVD in-dash with back-up camera (no NAV), will it still work with the factory bluetooth and the rear audio controls?

If the tweeters on the pillars say Bose, then you have Bose.

As far as the interface questions, I'm not sure exactly what you need, but I think the Pac OS-4 should take care of all that.

I had your exact set up and switched to the pioneer nav DD. Like Chris said, it says Bose so you have Bose. Mine came with the GM 6 disc CD changer that I sold on Ebay. The thing that's Bose are the door speakers/pillar tweeters/6" sub under the center console, and a pre-amp that all of that is hooked up to. I have an aftermarket screen/amp/sub and still have my bose pre-amp/6" sub under center console/factory door speakers in and with the pioneer DD it made the Bose speakers THAT much better! Now I have a 6" in the front (stock bose) and a 10" downfiring in the rear in between the captains chars (Kicker L7 10) for a little equality of bass in the car. Don't know about the factory bluetooth/rear audio controls though.

Thanks man appreciate it! What functionality are you worried about losing? The only thing I wish was better was the bluetooth phone calls (other person cannot hear me when I am using it). Other then that Pioneer takes the cake. The Z110BT I have (now the Z130BT this year) is 7" where stock nav is 6.5" screen. I can play DVD/SD/USB/iPod/XM(add-on)/HD Radio(add-on), connect to Bluetooth audio/phone calls, and also have the ream cam. I also have two adapters to make it all "work".

Retains factory installed XM radio (RSE controls required)
Works on amplified and non amplified audio systems including premium BOSE

What's the point of having bluetooth phone calls if the other person can't hear you? I get that with Bluetooth you can use your iPhone or whatever for the radio functions (music, Pandora, etc), but are you saying that the phone part doesn't work well?

Yea that's what I'm saying... and exactly,,, what's the point? I'm not too happy about it either since i've invested $1400+ for this nav/bluetooth system and people can barely hear me when I try to use it. It's not my iPhone 4 though i'm pretty sure the underlying issue is the ****** microphone they give you. On avic411.com this topic has been discussed and people have gone out of their way to purchase a 3rd party mic to pair up with this to solve the issue. To make phone calls is a breeze from the screen though, I still use it and basically wait for whoever i'm talking to to start bitching about not being able to hear me before finally switching.

Felix, I know you don't have the 2010 Tahoe, but in the comments you posted about the PAC-OS4, it says it retains factory bluetooth. Sounds like I wouldn't have to use the aftermarket mic afterall, but could just use the factory stuff. Not sure how that works, but if it does I like it!

Yea mine is an 08 so it didn't come with factory BT but yea that's what it claims so it must work... I used the aftermarket bluetooth on the pioneer nav DD and wanted the PAC OS 4 to retain my Bose stuff
