This will be hard to diagnose without a Tech2. If I recall mine acted really strange when my compressor took a crap. I can’t remember if it was the pressure sensor, exhaust valve or both that failed but the compressor wouldn’t run on its own. I remember really high pressure readings that were incorrect when viewing the data.
