Hey trevcda, thanks for the suggestion! Yeah, this unit looks like it would work for me. Good price also. Just saw that Amazon has them for $92 right now. Maybe will be a 'Merry Christmas to Me' item.

even that it may be possible but since you gave up i will pass on the details but in short there has been some success in interfacing old and new devices over the class 2 serial data line. just have not confirmed it in person. also not sure yet the gmlan low speed is compatible with or is the same com system. the radios still have 12v power feeds but not the typical power trigger. always possible tho that answer bcm can be integrated.
