I have a 2011 z71 burban with the in dash DVD player/Nav with drop down screens in the back. My toddlers shoved a bunch of pennies in the DVD slot and may have ruined the DVD portion of the unit. The touch screen selection that used to display "DVD" is now completely gone as if the computer knows the dvd player is malfunctioning. I plan to pull the unit and take a look, but I'm doubting it can be repaired. Does anyone have reccomendations of where to purchase a new head unit? I found some online for about $1400, am I stuck paying this much, or does anyone know of a better place online to get one?

Thanks

They make harnesses to retain the factory overheads with aftermarket units just so you know. You could get something with better options such as BT streaming and dvd in motion for less than a factory one.

If your looking at staying factory its gonna be around the price you saw plus you need to have the truck reprogrammed at the dealer. On the other hand you can pay half that or less depending on the deck you choose and the harness. Even if u wanted to drop 1400 on an aftermarket, you would have something way better, with way more options than factory.

+1 on the 4100NEX, I've had it in for almost 3 months and love it
