2011 tahoe gears

Hi guys. Just bought a 2011 tahoe this week and it has the 3,08 gears. To keep it simple the truck is sluggish as heck! Does not want to get out of its own way. What can i do. Will switching to 3.42's help. Our 04 tahoe was fine accelerating. Thanks guys

What engine is in it?
isn't that because they are using varible valve timing on those things now?
Are you talking about all the way through the RPM range or just off the get go?
I know In my 07 tundra they used VVT and it would take it a sec to adjust the cam phasers when you jumped on it and then it would make power and pull hard to redline.

17 inch tires, no tune, stock. slow the whole rpm range. really dissapointed. Mrs's saved for three years to pay cash for this ride. We are depressed. In stop and go its bad

Need a little more specific info on the sluggish part. From a dead stand still its sluggish? Or is it sluggish from a rolling start? If I am rolling (prior to my BB tune) mine would be sluggish because it was always in the wrong gear.
