I have 2005 Tahoe LS, looking to see if anyone knows where to get a rear camera on the hatch handle. I'd like to get something other than a license plate ones that are available. I have tried to see if the ones they do sell for trucks would work, but I don't see it fitting correctly. Appreciate anyone's insight on this. Thx.

I can't imagine there's enough room on the handle to have/put a camera. Do you have a design in mind?

I hope you get an answer, or another idea. I used a license plate one just because it was all I could find. Without drilling in the sheet metal I could not find a better one. The problem with the hatch handle is ours does not have a bezel like the Silverado's do. The bezel is where they mount the camera. I don't like the license plate location because I figured it would get hit/kicked loading stuff in the rear, so far so good but who knows for how long.

I been running that one in my ‘07 Tahoe for a few years now. It comes with the hole saw bit for it as well. I have it mounted in the plastic appliqué above my license plate.

Seems like a good location for yours, but the GMT800s don't have the appliqué since the license plate is on the bumper.
