@iLikeEggs thanks for the experience sharing, I am facing the same - rollover sensor hitting seat compartment tray (found by measurements). Thinking if I should dremel the 'seat compartment tray' instead of rollover sensor cover.

I did the same bench seat install this past weekend and encountered the same issue with the protective cover. So instead of cutting, I just cut a little area of the rubber flooring to access the mounting bolts (see arrows), then I removed cover altogether and the bench seat fit right in. Removing the protective cover doesn't seem to have any effect on anything (no CEL or strange functions), but I kept it just in case.

Well Done! This also explains how GM states that there was seating for up to eight in the Burb and Yukon XL.

today I was preparing by removing the trims around front seats, is the highlighted trim comes along when seat is lifted or the highlighted trim needs to be removed before seat is lifted? thanks

successfully mounted the middle seat, I made a cutout to the console box to address the rollover sensor bump.

Hey! Sorry for the very late reply. Didn’t see a notification or alert about your question. Looks like you figured it out.

Thank you OP and all you guys for contributing to this thread. Installed mine today and it went in easily thanks to the information contained here. Was able to find the power plug underneath. If you're persistent you can lift the flooring up high enough to remove the plastic cover without cutting the floor. I went ahead, trimmed it and reinstalled it.

I am glad to see the solution to the interference problem, got a console out of a 2010 Tahoe thinking it would drop right in wrong. It was hitting the cover and needed about an inch more so it would sit right on the studs. Removed my cover and it went right in. Thanks for the tip
