The last weekend I was off, I was able to retrieve the original front turn signal/fog lamp assemblies from my storage bay. As well, I took a chance and ordered new Sylvania 3457A bulbs. I swapped the original bulb sockets into the aftermarket housings. I liked the construction and quality of the originals. As well, the bulbs I took out of the original sockets were 3457A. I installed the new bulbs when I put it all back together.

Unfortunately, no change in the flashing.

I have since retrieved the original LED taillights from my storage bay. I will swap them back in at some point soon.
Thanks for keeping us posted with what you're learning. It's also possible that the aftermarket LED lights have a different resistance factor than the factory ones do. Since you have both, you can measure this resistance and potentially compensate with an inline resistor to make up the difference if desired.

Yessir. It is my intent that others may learn from my mistakes...sorry, efforts. :D

That is a VERY good point! I will try to make some time this weekend to do comparison testing.

Thanks!

Surprised I missed your posting. The aftermarket tails may be designed to run off the draw of standard incandescent bulbs. There’s a two part product I’ve purchased 1/2 of for my 09. I got the Autosync portion but if you purchase the BCM tune portion you can change which daytime running lights come on as well as resolving the hyperflash issue.

The majority of the 2015 & 2017 only features on the Autosync options work on the Esky Plat/Prem trim with the >12 SD card Navi & later Gen OnStar VCIM.

Need a source for a painted, color matched hitch cover mailed from the painter? Also, if your oem tails and brake light need a new home, shoot me a PM so I can help you offset the cost of the new ones. My tails could use a little dressing up.

I have an OEM hitch cover for the standard Escalade rear bumper that is the updated design. It’s painted red so you’d have to get it repainted but you’d have to get a new one painted, too.

Thanks for the info, petethepug! I saw your updates about the BCM/AutoSync in your thread about upgrading to the 09 Esky. I am still trying to wrap my head around exactly what it is and what it can do for me. I have some research to do.
To be honest, I am holding onto the original tail lights for now. Also, I did not replace the 3rd brake light, it is still stock 2013.
I appreciate the offer for the hitch cover, but I will pass. I am OK with the look of the exposed hitch receiver.

Thanks!

I ask because my 2013 is a Premium and has the dual exhaust outlets.

Thanks!

Sorry, I thought Pete was saying he needed a new hitch cover and the picture he posted is of a truck without the dual exhaust. The updated design I mentioned is for the hitch cover. It has two extra pins that you have to drill holes in the bumper for them to slot into and it holds the cover much better than just the 4 little tabs across the top.
