2013 Suburban bluetooth issue

any luck with this. mine has the same issue. people always make me get off bluetooth so they can hear

Yea I do too. I finally just stopped using the bluetooth. But I need to get something done. I hate not being able to use it.

So the Tahoe went to visit the dealer. Upon arrival, the service writer got in the Tahoe with me and called the service manager with my phone using the blue tooth. The service mgr was sitting at his desk and we could see him. The service writer talked to him for a minute and according to the service mgr. he was loud and clear. But when I talked to the service mgr through the blue tooth he said he had a hard time understanding me. He said the sound was choppy and garbled. Which is what I hear anytime I try and use the blue tooth. One thing I noticed was that the service writer is a lot taller than me so he's closer to the mic than I am. But that should not make any difference. Anyway they checked out everything, and did some kind of reset for it. They also checked the software level and it's up to date.

When I got it back they told me they did all they could and that it must be something with my speech pattern or the frequency of my voice. I was then told that maybe when a new software update comes out that it may fix the problem. I asked about replacing the mic and they told me that the one in there works just fine. When I use blue tooth in the wife's Nissan it works fine and I can be heard and understood. The Dodge I had before the Tahoe also had no issues being heard. This tells me that it's something with the vehicle.

So I still can not use the blue tooth. I don't know if another dealer would be any different or not but I may give that a try.

I am sorry to learn that the dealership was not able to resolve your vehicle issue. I understand that you may be looking to get a second option from another dealership. ...I add my voice to yours. there is definitely something wrong with the GM Blue tooth system used in the GMT900 I had the same thing happening to me people complaining that if I am talking or speaking from under water and they cant hear anything. so I thought its only my system doing that or something wrong with the mic. until I went and tried it in my buddy's 2008 Tahoe and he had the same issue as well. I tried my phone in my wife Mazda CX9 and it sound perfect no issue and people hear me crystal clear... so this excuse of the voice pattern is a non sense.

Then last month I happen to be going on a long trip to Chicago from Detroit and rented a 2013 Tahoe that had only 10,000 miles on it and when I made the first call on blue tooth the people on the other side complained that they can hardly hear a thing I am saying. so this rule out that the Blue tooth system in these vehicles sucks !!!! and what's GM doing about it ??? hmm I ll let their customer service answer that.

To get away around this I am currently using a different blue tooth device (Jabra) which runs for about $50 from amazon and that's been working great for me. :Handshake:

Well I took mine to another dealer last week. I explained the situation to them. They told me they have seen this before and felt confident they have a fix for it. While I was in the waiting room the service writer can to me and asked to see my cell phone. I told him the type of phone (Samsung Galaxy S3) and he asked what version software was on it. He took the phone from me and headed to the shop. He returned about 10 minutes later. Gave me back the phone. He said their is a new updated version of the microphone that they have to order in. I go back this Thursday to have it installed. They are also going to re-install the software and firmware for it; and do all the pairing and set up.

has there been a fix to the bluetooth issue. my 12 tahoe does the same thing and cant use it becuase people cant hear me.
