1. I have a 2013 Tahoe LS with a 2" front lift and everything else stock. I'm wanting to get either 18" wheels with tires or keep my original wheels and just add tires. Right now I'm running stock 265/70/17 tires but I would like to go 285/70/17. Is this possible? Also what are some suggestions or photos that you have that show wheels/tires that aren't 20's or 22's. All help is appreciated.

2. Has anyone repaired their rear window defroster tabs as my 2 have broken off?

3. New radio replacement? Thinking of a smarter one than the factory.

4. Last, where to find cheap driver side door panel. The cheap door handle plastic has broken.

Thanks anyone and everyone.

Welcome Clayton. Pete @Galante has the tires you're looking for and the 2" level on his Tahoe, look him up and take a look.

One thing I noticed about 18" wheels, the tires are more expensive than 17s or 20s generally speaking.

I've bought a new tab before and used a little kit from Permatex to fix it. Guys on here have Mcguyvered their door handles, and one posted photos recently. Look in the "What did you do to your GMT900 today" thread.

1. The 285s will be just over an inch taller, so your Tahoe will be lifted .5". With that 2" lift, you shouldn't have any issues with rubbing when turning. Your speedometer will read a little slower: 1MPH under at 30MPH, 1.7MPH under at 50MPH and 2.4MPH under at 70MPH.

3. Just about anything you want can be made to work with the appropriate interfaces. Once the wiring is connected, the radio will plug into your factory harness- no cutting required. The interface(s) needed depends on the equipment your Tahoe currently has. Being an LS, yours should be the simplest (cheapest) and most straightforward install. I use crutchfield.com to determine what adapters/interfaces, dash kits, etc. are needed then usually order those parts on Amazon or ebay.

4. Salvage yard, someone parting out a wrecked SUV or Silverado LTZ, etc. If yours isn't too bad, you may be able to fix it with epoxy and some form of reinforcement.

I think that this is what I was looking for. Tires are good size and it looks great. Thanks for the pictures. I'm definitely going to buy tires once I leave the U.K. next year.

Thank you for the information. I messed up the defroster tabs and just want to get that back to normal as my car is in very good shape since I bought it new off the lot in 2013. As far as the tire, thank you. From the pics in the post, I believe I have made up my mind to go 285/70/17 and keep the original wheels.

Thanks for the pictures of your Tahoe. That look is what I'm looking for and perhaps a little bit of poking from the fenders. I can deal with a little bit of rubbing which is no problem. Thanks again and I hope to share some more information with this forum I just subscribed to help.
