2013 Yukon Denali issue..normal?

When I'm cruising if I blip/rev the engine or hit the throttle 50-75% when I let off the throttle the rpms will stay at 2000-2500 and it sounds almost like the transmission is stuck in a gear too high or too low I'm not sure. It doesn't do it everytime but after it happened a couple more times I got concerned. I've got a call into the service department they're supposed to call back tomorrow but I'd thought I'd see if anyone else here has had this issue. Thanks.

Update: Just got a call from the service center they assured me it was normal and if anything were really wrong one of the computers would tell me. Still if any of you have experienced something like this I'd love some input.
