Guys,

Greetings to all.

I have a 2013 Yukon XL 6.2L, w/ Retractable Running Boards.

Owned the XL Denali since 2021.

Bought it in Albuquerque NM and then drove it home to MN.
Right when COVID started, in Feb and had a great solo trip back home.

I'm sure it does not like the very cold MN winters, as the last couple I've had some operational issues with the Retractable Running Boards freezing up.

This winter we've had spurts of super cold & way below zero temps, for weeks at a time.

Last year, the boards would go back to working normally when the weather warmed up as they 'thawed out'.

But this winter was super cold for way too long, and they are no longer working.

Right side is stuck in the up, retracted position and driver side is stuck down and won't come up.
Have tried the on/off dash switch, & no luck.

Been looking for help in the factory operator's manual. and Running Boards are not even listed in the index, and not even a location of a fuse, or relay is mentioned, or shown.

Found some supposed reset procedures, & seen a few things on the web, but nothing seems to work.

Wondering if there is there a reset procedure that's specific to 2013?

Really love my XL Denali, but would really like to get these boards working again, as it's a great feature and offers great aesthetics in appearance !

Would sure appreciate any assistance from anyone on the Forum.

Hi

Oh well, pulled fuse #65. 30 amp retractable running board fuse.

Sucker took a fly behind the engine compartment box, can't see it, so never got a look, or able to circuit test w/meter.

Went to O'Reilly & bought same replacement & put it in...

No difference, the boards still fo not work...?

Any kind of a reset procedure, specific to 2013 ?

LMK

Thanks & best regards
