3% is enough for a speeding ticket. Especially in my case, where the actual speed is higher. I wonder if there is a set screw in there, and they do a simple adjustment.

No set screws. If anything Id say the needle needs to be taken off and repositioned.

3% on 75mph is 77.25mph. No cop will give you a ticket for that. This is seriously a non issue. If you want to complain that at 100mph, you're actually doing 103 - well nowhere in the US is 100mph legal anyway, so you're already breaking the speed limit. At best on an 85mph highway, you're doing 87.55 - again - no cop will give you a ticket.

Because I'm willing to bet that 9 out of 10 vehicles (GM or not) are not 100% accurate either. Nor are vehicles with different size tires that aren't corrected. To me, this is being nitpicky. Id also be willing to bet any dealer would run you off and not do anything about it, other than keep the vehicle for a little while to make you think they're working on it.

Theres also chances of a speed sensor, not gauge bad here, but 3% is probably within a margin of error that could be acceptable.

By all means, go get another cluster and see if it helps.

And if youre worried about a ticket - lets take worse case scenario - A 20mph school zone. So it says your doing 20 and youre really doing...... 20.6mph! Cop will NOT stop you for that. Period. His radar probably has a similar margin for error as well.

Im really not trying to be a dick here, but 3% is literally nothing, unless youre traveling over 100mph to make a difference. And without a tune, youre not going faster than 95-98mph anyways.

But if you get a tune, you loose your warranty, & then the odo is not getting fixed :)

PS: I had it to 101, all stock, uphill.

I can't believe we are still talking about this. 3% is well within generally accepted tolerance

you are not going to get a ticket for 3% over, you are going to get one for going 101 uphill

Again, Once calibrated, are you going to ***** again once your tires are half worn?

Gotta hit that magic 75 #, so I can sell stuff in the classified. I guess that is how they vet people around here.....
