2015 automatic running boards

Is there a way to not deploy the running boards for driver 1. I'm 6' 3" I don't need the running boards to deploy when I'm getting in and out of the vehicle but wife ( driver 2) does.

On my 2013, there is a button on the center console to turn the running boards on and off. Personally I would leave them on otherwise you might have a toilet seat up/down type of an issue as you need to be in the truck to turn them on or off. I have the same situation and have learned to leave them on and keep momma happy.
