Any member have or had issues with running boards? My driver's side power appears to be binding. Issue started less than a week ago. Driver's side step chatters, keeps making noises, attempts but fails to retract 90% of the time. I can get the step to retract if I apply upward pressure on it while it is trying to retract.

I took it to the dealer yesterday after header install. $90.00 diagnosis and almost 2 hours later I was told I needed the electric step kit which consists of essentially everything but the step itself. This was after all pivot points were lubed with change.

Parts department identified them as being back ordered.

I suspect it's the actuator but wondering if it could be anything else or if anyone has had similar issues.

Luckily.... I was able to purchase a complete kit so I should be able to swap everything or just the actuator.

Thoughts comments, ideas welcome. Thanks one and all.

I had a dozen Escalade's, more than half had the power running boards, and half the year they are in up state NY in feet of snow, I learned that I had to keep them clean and lubed from others that had problems, doing this I never had an issue. The pivot points can build up crap overtime
