Now it's not working at all. Says the "video format is not supported". I will update more after I get a new converter, take the back panel off and install. That will be tomorrow.

Hooked up the AppleTV just now. As you can see it works. It has an issue with a green bar at the bottom in NTSC mode on the converter. Hopefully the new one will fix that. I'm going to purchase one tomorrow and attempt to have the folks I bought the kit from reimburse me the cost. When I asked them this afternoon, he wanted to ship me another in 2 weeks. I'm not waiting that long.

Here is the conversation with the person that owns the company selling this stuff. So far they have been reasonable to deal with.

That business sounds like a fairly amateur operation IMO. (Charging top dollar as well)

The HDMI to Component converter they shipped me sells for $9 on Amazon.

That port next to usb looks like the SD card slot not HDMI??

The mod adds an HDMI port and the USB port is used to power the cable for the phone.

I hope you don't mind more questions. Did you get a price breakdown? Mirroring separate from unlock? So the mirroring unit hides in the console and you plug your phone into the usb port on the back? Let us know if the $9 adapter works. How about some nice pix? And a link to Amazon. I'm following this with great interest as I was JUST about to order. Really, I was going order yesterday trying to time shipment with some time off.

I like the face plate and installation that you did - looks very clean.
I was going to order the following:
HDMI to AV
USB and HDMI face plate
Or the Keystone plates with inserts at monoprice -- HERE


The other option was to get a miracast dongle either composite or HDMI so it will be wireless.
