Never dealt with that year so no advice on getting to the coil.lots of miles, occasionally get the flashing engine light when i get on the gas. Checked the code and it says p0308, cylinder 8 misfire. Any videos on how to get back there to the coil?
The plugs have about 20k miles on them, doesnt mean it didnt go bad, and the plug was a PIA to get toNever dealt with that year so no advice on getting to the coil.
Are you sure it’s the coil? When’s the last time you changed the spark plugs?
Yes it was. i was able to get them all off and replaced. thank you.the coil should be held on by 2 10mm bolts. a regular wrench would be best way to get to it back there. ratcheting wrench will make it quicker. switch it with a coil from the front cylinder and that will prove if its the coil or not and if it is the culprit much easier to replace once it out of that back corner. dont forget u still have 2 more variables on #8 that can cause a misfire. the coil wire and the fuel injector.
