2015 Tahoe LTZ front shock/strut replacement options?

Anyone know if replacing MRC struts is just plug and play or is there some dumb programming sequence you need to follow or have an obdii computer, etc...?

anyone replace the MRC front shocks with Blisten and keep the stock springs?

Add me to the list of 2015 Suburban LTZ with both front magnetic struts/shocks leaking. Hard to believe they only lasted 52,000 miles, and reading that this is more common then I expected.
The Chevy mechanic told me I also had to purchase both wire harness' because he has to cut the wires.... thanks GM for the poor production planning.

Strutmasters Maybe maybe not
It raised the front 3" and the rear drop 1/2" so from ground to wheel well is 37 1/2 in rear and also 37 1/2 in front. This was a shock and spring replacement front and rear. Ride is very floaty feel. Also rocks side to side pretty bad when going over bump at a angle. Pulling into driveways est. Believe strutmaster has got the set up wrong for the 2015 and up. Kit was a GC2FB (2007-2012) Was suppose to be kit GC44F (2015-2018). Sales Rep said it the same shocks and springs in both kit. Just the electric bypass kits are different. Working with tech support about getting the front back down to the shock height.
For mag delete they supplied resisters with water tight fuse. Just cut connector off old shock wire in the resister wire hardness. Also just remove fuse for air pump. No warning lights so far.
For now I'm disappointed in kit. It rides better with the wore out front mag shocks. Probably will just go back to mag ride shocks. If strutmaster can't correct. Rockauto has the for around $318 a piece. Total cost around $1300 plus my labor. Strutmaster kit was $737.38 plus my labor about 6 hrs so far.
Today had serval calls from strutmaster.
Rep from strutmaster is going to seen me a new design strut kit. Going to try and get the front end back down. and a shifter spring. We'll see what they come up with.

Sorry I didn't respond to this thread earlier.

Closest to OEM ride height: Front Struts Monroe 139104

The Fox 2.0 system is pretty much perfect.
Everyone that has installed it says it is amazing for on and off road.
Fox Part Numbers
Front Coilover: 985-02-018
Rear shocks: 980-24-660

We are working on a Bilstien 5100 kit for the Tahoe, top mount etc.
Checkout RDT Diesel Performance on FB they have converted magneride top mounts to work with the 5100's.

@SuperOldSchool you do not need a scantool to replace magneride shocks with new magneride shocks, unplug and plug.
IF you ever need to replace a ride height sensor then YES you will need to perform a ride height trim procedure.

Strutmaster sent me another set of front struts kit. GC3FB. At least the overall length measurement is the same as the oem struts. But the look poorly made. Checked strutmaster web site and kit is made for a 2015 - 2018 Chevrolet Avalanche. Wasn't the avalanche discontinue after 2013. At this point have decided cut my loss and go back with factory.

I just joined this forum, looking for some alternative to these crummy factory struts. I changed all 4 on my 2015 Tahoe LTZ at 51,000 miles and $2500 later! Today see oil leaking from the LF and I have 82,000 miles. So I only got about 30,000 miles on these it now appears if they all start leaking. Junk, Junk, Junk!

Will take some information from this thread and try to get this mess fixed. I may even have to just get rid of the veh but I really like it otherwise.

Also, I never take it off road and always go over speed bumps slowly.

Recommend getting new shocks from rockauto OEM fit avg. cost around $305.00 a piece and come with lifetime warranty. Try the strutmaster kit with bypass sensors. Bad decision. Ended up just going back with OEM shock from rockatuo. Easy install and fit was correct. Back to very nice factory ride.

Likely will have to go OEM but, disappointing short life they have.
