Just purchased a 2015 Tahoe LTZ today and was playing around with the navigation and noticed that the navigation screen does not display the current street name that you are driving on. Is there something that I need to enable for it to do that? All other vehicles I have owned over the past 10 years has always shown the current street I'm driving on when the navigation screen is being displayed.

I have never noticed that before when I have used it. But, I normally use Apple Car play and use google maps. I will have to check today in my 16 denali today.

I don't think it does on the stock navigation but on CarPlay the current street is displayed horizontally at the bottom. The stock navigation is light years behind any aftermarket navigation from pioneer or alpine. My 10 year old outdated Alpine navigation is so much better than what comes in these trucks.

Thank you both for replying!

My father has a 2017 3500 Silverado and I just checked in his truck and his nav shows the current street name on the bottom.

I'm assuming the 2017 vehicles have a different mylink system than the 2015s? I ask because I also notice he has a text icon, a projection icon, and a traffic icon, none of which I have in my 2015. Is there a way to get mine updated to show the same things?

Thanks everyone!

Again, assuming 2016 and 2017 vehicles have a different mylink program than the 15's. Just wondering if anyone knows if this is a just a newer software that I can get upgraded or is it a completely different system and I just have to deal with it.

Not sure if it’s just a update or not but I know Android Auto didn’t start until 2016 and I think Apple car play was only on 16s and above.
