Looks great, but is something off

I was at ~490 with just a whipple and 5hp bump with a Borla exhaust so call it just shy of 500

I would have thought with cams, headers, etc you'd be closer to Norcal in the mid/upper 550s

I didn't do any coatings or wrap the headers. I have a functional heat extractor on the hood, so the engine breaths. As far as the concept drawings, I believe those were a set of Giovana wheels.

I didn't do any cam work, its all bolt on. I haven't had another dyno since having it re tuned at ADM performance, but power and drive ability are good. The only time it was on the dyno was after the initial install, and that tuner didn't have the new A8 transmission software to keep it from downshifting on the dyno, so around that 490 point it downshifted jacking up the runs. I actually have one run at 504, but the dyno sheet has the downshift on the graph so i tossed that out as the official numbers. I know she's making power, and honestly it makes more than enough to get me back and forth to work in a hurry ;-)

Those are great numbers for a whipple. How do you like your Borla exhaust? I have Magnaflow, but almost too throaty at highway speeds.

Disclaimer: I don't have any skin in the game....

Different synod will give you different results number wise. The graph SHAPE will stay relatively the same between dynos with same vehicle.

Dynos can be set to read low, high, adjusted once the results are in to read higher simply by changing correction factor or hg etc etc etc....

It's really hard to compare unless you have baselines from each.
Or if both said what astock truck ran on their dyno (+/- a given number)

What does the "heat extractor" consist of?

Very well done by the way.

Thanks, good question. It's just like the newer Camaros (and ZL1's), and "V" versions of Cadillac's hood heat extractors. It's cut in to the hood to allow air to flow up and through. This is a custom one off, that we took and modified from a version on my SEMA Cadillac.
