So I've read other thread but none related with the new body style.
I installed a 55w hit and everything seemed perfect until I turned on the truck.

They flicker and some times they don't come on or they turn off after 2 sec of turning on the truck. Once I can get them to stay on they seem to not turn off, but I have to pay with them to get to that point.

I looked to see if there was a relay as I'm sure that the lights pull more power than normal and then they require less but I only see 20amp fuses for right and left hid light.

So the question is, has it happen to anyone else and/or what to do?

Recheck connections. What's the kit you decided to go with? Usually flickering like that is a bad connection, bad bulbs or ballast

My customs guy told me that I should not go with HID. He recommended High Power LED. I had them Install the LED kit with resistors and had them install Halos around main housing lights and fog lights. I am also running High power LED in fog lights. Looks good. I tried posting pics here but it says the file is too large.

I use led and it's nice. I need to polish my headlights in my truck. I installed them on my brothers civic. Led on the drivers side. It's nice and bright but it Dosent spread as wide as a halogen or hid. Not enough for me to say they are not worth it.
I'd definitely go this route from now on because it led so it will last longer and no ballast to fail.

It's not the connections, everything is plug and play and nothing was left lose.

Like I say, they flicker and turn off or sometimes they stay on, also there is times they just come on and stay on or turn off after 2 sec of being on.
I'm going to buy a relay harness to make sure they are getting the right amount of power they need

If 3000lm blind ppl I don't think that the high power led are the way to go with 6000-8000lm.

My 55w I believe are in the 3000lm so I wonder how much more power it will be require to get the other going or what is the power that needs to be sustain to keep them going

Hey. You absolutely need the relay kit for them. Also a canbus cancel. The power to the low beam is pulse width modulated voltage and will not effectively ignite the ballast most of the time. They actually will use less power than halogen once running but the inrush is big. Pwm is in many gms for years to make lower brightness for low beam drl.

The retrofit source has a Sierra kit that has all you need. FYI the relay is not long enough for the drivers side if you run against the firewall so get two.

UPDATE:
relay harness kit installed no can canbus cancel, so far they work perfect and no code in the dash.

The only thing I notice is that I think the automatic light control doesn't work anymore

Why do you say that alc doesn't work? The drl is low voltage low beam. You now have full voltage low beam no matter the case as long as any power is supplied to the circuit. So during drl you have full hid. At night, you have full hid. The only difference is you should see daytime navigation during the day and no parking lights or led if it's in auto. Still works but won't make a hoot of difference for the low beams which are forever on in drive now. Night or day.
