Good day all,

I appreciate you taking the time to read this. As the title states I have a 2016 Suburban ltz with the magnaride. i just recently installed a ProComp 2.25" leveling kit purchased at an off road parts dealer locally. After I installed the ProComp it was brought to my attention that this kit is not approved for my Suburban because of the Magnaride. The off road store talked to ProComp and it was not approved because ProComp had not completed the testing yet. I got my Suburban back and it drives good however I have a slight clunking coming from the front drivers side. Its not a loud clunk but there is a noise coming from that area. It does not do it all the time, more noticable it when on rough roads or hit bump. After researching this site I do know I need to add the Magnaride brackets and will be purchasing them today but I am not sure if that will fix this noise. Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

Thanks again

Post pics of upper control arms and droop stops. It could be the limiting down travel and need of lift UCAs.

Ok I suspect it’s the upper arm hitting droop stops. You can visually see the arm marks on the stops if there has been contact.

I apologize in the delay. Please see pics requested. I installed the magna ride brackets and it rides smoother however the noise is still there. It does not make it all the time just on rough roads bumps etc... Let me know what you think. Thanks again

Thanks for pictures and maybe I wasn’t clear on what to show. Leave the wheel on the truck and under its own weight on the ground. Need the gap between arm and droop stop. I will try to find a similar picture online to show what I’m looking for but I’m pretty positive it’s that area contacting which is the sound you’re hearing

Sorry, here they are with tire attached. Not 100% if this is what you are looking for. Thanks again.

So this kit looks like it has a very small lower spacer (looks like .25" for ".5 of level) which means that the remaining 1.75" should come from an upper spacer. Is it possible that they did not properly tighten the bolts that mount the upper spacer to the frame's shock tower OR the bolts that attach the spacer to the shock? Both of those would cause the shock to jiggle around and potentially clunk when you hit a bump. That's where I'd check.

That's much better but doesn't appear to be hitting the droop stops. How does the passenger side look? Get an videos of the sound?
