2016 Yukon Denali 8L90 trouble - Reverse Clutch Assembly?

At 61,000 miles had trouble passing thru a traffic light. Engine reved gears weren't taking, I manual shift out of it. I drove about a mile and gave up, called for a tow to the local GMC dealer. The code was P0700 and P2714.

They tell me it is the reverse clutch assembly. I laugh, as i was going forward at the traffic light. Anyways this is the photo they provided.

I am not a mechanic, but with all the vibrations I have had with this tranny, i was really hoping it would be replaced. No luck, just a repair.

What do you guys/gals think of this picture? Not sure what I am looking at.

That there is a flux capacitor. Seems to be in o shape for that mileage.

Or maybe it isn’t.....I do tell a lot of folks at helpdesks for products service in my day job we upgraded our flux capacitor and now we are having issues, so we need to upgrade....
gets them every time.

That's a drum. If the dealer is doing this as warranty work, they don't want it to come back so they will/should do what's right. It's not always necessary to replace the whole thing when it can be repaired so don't sweat that part.
