2017 PPV

Hello everyone. I am new to the forum and to Tahoes. I bought my 2017 PPV on Oct 12th. I really like this vehicle a lot. I have always been a pick up truck guy until now.

So far I have added aftermarket Sony XAV4000 touch screen head unit, Viper alarm/ remote start, Black Smoke LED tail lights and a LED 3rd Brake Light.

I bought it with the raceline surge 22's on it and it also came with the console already installed. I believe it came out of a LT or LTZ tahoe. It also already had the leather steering wheel with the cruise control and audio controls.

None of my usb's 12v plugs or my 110v plug work. The only thing that works out of all of this is the aux cable plug.

Do the seat heaters work?

I didn’t have the console tray still in thethirdtwin. I used the space for a hidden radio mount.

Mine didn't come with it either...i bought it on Amazon for like $16. No the heaters don't work. They don't even power on. I am assuming because nothing on the console is actually hooked up. I doubt the front cloth seats have heaters in them but you never know.

That’s kind of how my ‘15 was. Had the center console and it looked great, but nothing worked. This time, I went with a Havis console. I have more USB and lighter outlets then I know what do with….but more importantly, they work this time.

You can have a local shop put heat in your seats and install two buttons somewhere. I did it to my Rubicon. Cost about $450 total and they worked fantastic.

i had this issue too, went to the junk yard and cut the plugs for them off of a wrecked tahoe and then ran a hot wire that’s ignition signaled from the fuse block and just extended the wires through the console to both 12V plugs. And if you are really over achieving i’m sure you can rig up an inverter to the 12v hot wire and run it to the 110 plug for the rear seats. Best of luck!

How did you test the 110v plug? I used a voltmeter and got nothing. Thinking it wasn't operable, I did the next best thing and RTFM. According to the manual, there is no current supplied to the outlet UNTIL there is something plugged in and drawing that current. Safety feature I suppose. Might plug a 110 volt radio or something low draw to make sure it is truly dead and not "keeping you safe".

its hard to know what someone before you did. I think the USBs are fed from the factory radio, so that would explain losing those. For safety sake, I'd at least expose the factory body-builder harnesses and make sure they're terminated/ capped off properly.
