Wondering if anyone has had a persistent leak from the camshaft sensor magnet...
I've had the Suburban since around 15,000 miles and have always noticed sediment buildup on the cross member, but it was never bad enough that I seriously went about tracing the source of the leak until recently. I had to replace the crankshaft seal (fun but not too bad), and after leak testing that, I found a slow oil leak from around the camshaft sensor. I've replaced the gasket with a generic one, but it still leaked. I replaced the gasket with an OEM one, and still leaked. I just replaced the magnet itself with a new gasket, and it is still leaking.
