Truck has low miles, ~6000, was working fine and one day the front quit working. It won't work on auto climate or manually turning up the fan. I also noticed that it no longer controls the blend door properly as even setting it to 60 degrees, hot air still trickles through the vents. I've been using the rear HVAC and seat heater to get through the last few cold days here in MN. Any thoughts?

Check fuses first, then if those are good maybe move on to the blower motor & resistor, if the blower motor works with 12v applied then you can safely assume it's probably the resistor.
as far warm trickling in, are you turning off the recirculation first, by default it's always on when you start the truck.

I've checked the fuses, that's not it. I can always pull the fan and motor out like I have on older stuff, I just wasn't sure if this runs on a CAN bus arrangement, which a few other issues(right front headlight intermittently dim) generating a U code seem to be. On my last Tahoe, a 2007, it was either the motor, or the resistor, which I replaced both over the years. Just not sure about these new ones. I'll check tonight.

If it is a warranty item I would let the dealer have it. The vehicle itself comes with the warranty, no matter who owns it.

I understand that, but it has a salvage title, so I'm not sure what the dealer response for that is. I bought it knowing that smaller items like this likely wouldn't be covered, also, it has been over 3 years from the original sale date, most factory warranties are 3/36. I will check into it though, thanks.

It would be an item covered by the 3 year/36k coverage and if is past that original date of purchase, then it is not covered. Even if it had an extended warranty, that does not transfer, so it is all on you.

I will bring it in, doesn’t hurt to check with them.
