2018 Chevy Tahoe PPV with the increased capacity package. Just installed Monroe 911546 rear shocks to help with the bounce the old shocks were so bad it hurt my back driving the truck. It’s better with the new shocks but I still have a little bounce what can I do to get rid of it. New coil springs? Different shocks. The truck still has the original black 17” rims with the standard Goodyear police tires on them. Any help would be appreciated the Tahoe was an old K-9 unit that had the cage in the back. All that has been removed and replaced with seats.

Springs going bad is pretty rare but you never know. It’s hard to believe a police officer driving a rig like that. I doubt that the cage weighed enough to counter that much bounce. The trucks that come with auto leveling rear have softer springs as do springs used for lowering. Have you ran the vin to see the build or seen the production codes in the glove box?

with the standard Goodyear police tires on them.
'standard GoodYear police tires on them' (265/60R17)
is a big part of the problem.
Those tires are for pursuits above posted speed 'limits', not for civilian comfort.

Every other Tahoe uses 265/70R17. I'm wondering if you can fit 275/70R17, which will soak up a lot more schidty road.

I used Bilstein 4600 shocks on my Z71, and they are too soft for my taste. Bet you'd LOVE 'em.
(I shoulda went with Bilstein 5100.)

Put some weight in the back, about 50-75 pounds.
