2018 GMC Denali or Tahoe RST

Both have the cursed 8 speed auto.

2018/19 RST and Denali have a 10-speed. I only have 7k on mine, so I'm not a good reference for longevity, but it sure is a dream to drive compared to the 6-speed.

^^^ I’m sorry, you are absolutely correct on the 10 speed in the RST, I wasn’t aware of the 10 in the Denali though. Spent the weekend with a very depressed buddy of mine with his A8 Z06 shuddering at 3,100 miles. I’ve been on vette and Camaro forums since 2013. The A8 curse started in 2015 and although some downplay it as if it’s nothing, if a serious sore spot with many owners of GM cars who have experienced it repeatedly. I sure hope the 10 is much more reliable as time goes on.

2018’s are a lot better in quality than the first model year run, 2015’s. Almost can’t compare them as the same vehicle at this point.
