** photos posted further down page 1 **

I noticed that the door alignment is off a little bit on my '18 Yukon Denali. And it's only like this on the driver side -- passenger side is perfect.

When I shut the door, the gap between the door and the rear door isn't flush. It almost looks like the driver door wasn't shut all the way, but it is.

Has anyone had an issue with this? I've had the truck 3 weeks and just now noticed it. A vehicle this expensive should not have an issue like this.

For example (this is NOT my vehicle):

The area highlighted in green is fine, no problem. The area highlighted in red is where the problem is — it’s not flush. The worst part is the very bottom of the red area.

I wonder if GM would warranty this. It can't be within 'normal' tolerance.

A close up picture of yours would help.

“A vehicle this expensive” sorry man but no matter the price, it’s possible. My 2014 Lexus had a leaky sunroof and my 2016 BMW had many issues not worth mentioning.

I don’t have this issue, but I’ve had that part of a rear door sticking out on an Explorer that we use to have. I’m sure it could be fixed under warranty. “Fixed”, that is, if you can land a competent tech that’s as big of a perfectionist as you.

Alright I just went out and took some photos.

Driver side -- see the issue? It isn't flush at the bottom:

Passenger side (flush):

Ehhh it might just the pic, but I’m not sure you’ll find anyone working for GM that can get that door anymore flush.

^^ If I run my hand across the lower panels on driver side it's not smooth -- the door is sticking out. It's completely smooth/flush on the passenger side.

^ I will be scheduling an appointment to have them address it.

I'm wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem before and what their experience was with GM ...

I wouldn’t be that concerned my door isnt perfect. As soon as you have them start messing with the hinges stuff is going to start getting funky.... if it were me I’d leave it. Hinges are on and that’s how the door wants to sit. My Expedition always had a misalignment on the door too never bothered me or effected operation. Pretty much any maker has the doors a hair off on vehicles if you look close enough.
